Born in Toronto, Gary has been throwing darts professionally since 1985. Over the next decade he quickly moved up the Canadian national and world rankings. In 1992 he finished top 16 in the Canadian National Championships, and from 1995 through 2000 he competed in 6 World Match Plays, 5 PDC World Championships and 2 World Grand Prix.
Gary moved to the United States in 2004 and has risen to the top of the American dart circuit. He is coming off his best year ever in 2008, which saw his rise to the top 40 in the PDC Order of Merit. In June he advanced to the finals of the prestigious UK Open and in July he led the Team America to a first place finish in the WDF Americas Cup, where he also won the Men's Singles.
Gary is now playing full time on the PDC circuit and 2009 promises to be a very big year!
